Memorial Day Weekend - FINALLY!

Hey all,
Its finally came and went; the big official Memorial Day weekend. Yes, its the weekend where all the east coasters decide that the shore is now open and they can migrate to the water on the weekends once again. Only those that live out here can attest to it, so for you California types, here is the deal- IT gets cold here in the winter and we cant hit the beach until this weekend... ok? Why?? Well, simply put, NJ SUCKS! there I said it....So the only time that the east coasters can hit the beach is from Memorial Day to Labor day; thats it.

Anyways, we seem to avoid the 2+ hour car ride (which should take an hour) and BBQ over the weekend...which usually involves a Big Movie opening. This year= Pirates 3~ Worlds End. So you guessed it, thats exactly what we did.

Saturday Nicole and I invited Amy to meet up with her dad and her cousin Tony and we went to see Pirates 3; then hit up Olive Garden for dinner and went home. We then did a quick cleaning of the condo and took inventory of our supplies. Sunday morning, we hit the store and got burgers, soda, fixings and a few other items, then went home to finish setting up a table, some chairs... We actually had time to take a quick nap before company showed up. I was hoping for a group pic, but it never happened. Everyone who came was: Nicoles mom and dad, Her aunt Roe and Cousin Tony, Wayne, Sandy, Trevor and Tylor, Dave B and Ashley, John (buddy from the Lake Erie), Michelle and Quino, and ourselves. least to say, we were somewhat tight on room, but managed to get everyone inside and out for an afternoon of food, chatting with friends and family and having a good time. Afterwards, some people left, and those that stayed we played PIT and APPLES to APPLES. After 10, we busted out Guitar Hero 2 and jammed on a few songs before calling it a night.

Now for some more updates:
BABY: Got new scans for the album up - lookee at the next Maiz to join the world!
This shot has our Baby looking at the camera and waving hi.. If this isn't what i think it is, we have a glamor shot baby on our hands.. :P Nicole is doing well, but does have the occasional back pain in the evening. She still gets tired, but does well.

BABY ROOM: We made some progress this weekend- the desk is apart and ready to go; Tony will take it from us and then we will go get a new Computer Armoir for the bedroom. IT will basically do two things- make the room less cluttered looking and also baby proof it from future baby. We also picked up a new file cabinet for the files, so after a week or so, we can get rid of the big metal one to Kent. Nicole found some colors to play with for paint, so after i get the desk and file cabinet gone, we can start working on the demo part of the room.

XBOX- finally killed off the Blue gang in Saints Row; now its the last gang - the yellow guys. Should be an interesting matchup. Also, almost made the next rank in Vegas as Im 1/2 a bar away from the next and last SGT rank; that one gives me my berret! Football as been played a few times, and also Catan seems to be doing well too. After Saints Row, Star Wars is lined up as the non-multiplayer game to play so between that and HARD Guitar Hero 2, it will be plenty for the summer. The other big news was that my buddy John also got a 360 (SlickSky5), and he got a few games, which include Gears. We hope to play some of that online soon :)

PAINTBALL: THis weekend is NJ NAM! Proabably the biggest game for the state in terms of size and players. It starts at noon, with player meetings at 10am. so basically its 8am to midnight. Im going to play all day saturday and might leave around 6-8pm. Not sure yet... Im going with a friends from work and his buddies, so we will see whats what. The 13th never asked me back, nor did the other friends I have in there.. oh well. Since they are going VC and Im going US, we will fight it off eventually.

Black20 Trailer Park - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Check out this non- Trailer for the movie.. Frikin Funny Shit here:...

SCHOOL: Got 3 weeks left in Math and JAVA. After that, I am taking Lab1 - and ONLY lab 1. This way I can get the house work done, goto classes and also take a small break before baby comes. In the Fall, I will be taking LAB 2 only and will start up a full schedule in the Winter (JAN-MAR 08) schedule. It will set me back a tad, but will be worth it.

Thats good for now- Look for a report in a few weeks about the upcoming paintball event, more baby stuff and also some other surprises :D

I found the EDIT function :P

Hey all..

WHAT DO YOU THINK ???? Kinda cool, huh :D Found a pic from the USS Constitution in Baastin (Boston for the non-New Englanders) when to took ma Caa and paaked it by the baa across from tha ship over yaander last summer. Had to include the Steeler colors, as they are my colors too :)

The Weather is CRAPPY!! We are back to the 60s and rain 10 days from the 'unofficial' Memorial Day weekend. go figure = NJ SUCKS ASS!!!

Anyways, I wanted to give a quick update on stuff going on..This last week was full and adventurous. School was busy as usual as I now have a test next week in math.. which means a weekend on studying for me :(

The Ultrasound went well - My guess is a girl; I didn't see something that lil boys usually have, so unless they scanned for it before I entered the room to see our baby, My guess is a girl. This doesn't mean IT IS a girl, just that I'm going on the record saying I THINK its a girl... don't by dresses yet..

Xbox is good- Last weekend we visited Dave and Allisone in PA and had a xbox afternoon and saw Spiderman 3 on Saturday night. We played some Guitar Hero 2 and also loaded up a few others, but mainly GH2. Spiderman 3 for the 2nd time around was ok; never noticed anything I missed before, but so far 14 mistakes over at Moviemsitakes.com....

This week, Ive been playing Saints Row alot and finally beat one of the gangs in the game - the red guys. now its going to be the Blue gangs turn. (They got it comin). I found this site which has all of the cars in the game- you can see how some are close to modern cars with their names changes to protect the innocent :) I also traded in the original xbox version of Lego Star Wars for the 360 Version of the same game, since its now $20. I think after the swap, I paid $10 for the 360 version - WHY?? Well, the graphics and the achievements!!

Paintball last weekend fell apart, namely because I needed to do housework and get the room cleaned up. This weekends paintballing is now on hold because of the test on Thursday. NJNAM in 2 weeks! Also, since Nicole will be gone on Sunday afternoon, Her dad and I will probably now go play Chip N Put down in Voorhees after I get a few hours of studying in.

Tonight we are having gamenight, which will include the usual crowd and Nicoles Dad and cousin- 8 total. Should be fun!!

Summer time is coming = Movies, Paintball and...work..

Hey all,

Its MAY!! Finally, we can turn off the heater, open the windows..wait..pollen= hay fever... better keep the windows closed and turn the air filter on. Go figure, NJ never gives up on making your living experience more 'exciting'...

Spiderman 3!! Yep - I saw it for free on Friday morning - it was interesting: I drove all the way there at 8am- lots of traffic. Once I got in, it was a juniper network seminar event= bunch of IT types with 2 cell phones, PDAs and laptops in the theater. After a 30 minute presentation on a slide show, they gave us $10 for popcorn and started the movie.

Overall, it was good- about a 7: one too many villains for me; they tried to develop them in a short amount of time, and it cant work. Also, the coincidental events were a bit many: you will understand if you saw the movie.. PLUSSES: lots of action and it continues the storyline. Not sure of a Spiderman 4, but if they don't, its ok.

Next up: Pirates 3!!! ARRGH!

Lots of stuff going on, so Ill just get to it.

FAMILY: Nicole is really showing now; she is between 4 and 5 months now and has the 'waddle'. We are excited to say that yesterday our step sister Patty had a baby girl; Since my mom predicted one of us would have a boy... well.. she thinks it will be us. Tomorrow we goto the NJRA for the ultrasound, but since we want a surprise, it will have to wait till October.

XBOX: Dave joined the 360 revolution! He got the Elite version, which has HDMI and the larger harddrive. He also picked up Guitar Hero 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and downloaded Catan as well. So far, we played a game or two of Catan and it looks like this weekend we will be jammin at his place with coop GH2.

I got Saints Row- It was dirt cheep and is alot of fun; Its a total knockoff of GTA, but who cares- I like it better than GTA and looks much better than what I remember on the PS2 version. You can customize your dude, buy stuff like new guns, jewelry, and tatoos. There are bascially side 'missions' (drug deals, hits, car jackin..the usual stuff) which earn you Reputation points, which you use to complete one of the main story missions. There are 3 rival gangs which face the Saints, and its up to you to take em down :P Overall, its a good change of pace game that does not need to be played online. Im totally set on games for awhile to come... I will pass on CnC3, halo 3 and all the other games coming out this summer.

SCHOOL: Well, between the vector math and Java, Its been a busy 3 days a week; I just had my midterm in Java and it wasn't fun - i was caught off guard with the 'rewrite your labs' part of the test, so next time I will be ready. Math isn't bad, just the test covers alot of material, so I will need to get tough and learn it. This summer I'm planning on Lab 1 and thats it; one night a week will be plenty because.....

HOME: ...I got work to do in that room. I took the computer and moved it into our bedroom; then swapped my dresser and the desk around in the bedroom to prevent the walkway from being blocked from the chair. Next up is to dismantle the desk and give it to Wayne. He was interested in it for one of his kids. Then will be the file cabinet and I will need to get a new one (or two) to put into the bedroom before we dump the big one. After all that, we will need to go thru the closet and get rid of stuff in there - some old posters, some old junk... and start doing actual work in there for the memorial day weekend. Its tough, but it needs to get done soon.

PAINTBALL: It looks like the 20th is set- Dave is interested in going and its an open Sunday for me, so that gives me one game before NJ NAM with NASOG. Thats a good thing; the last person I want to be is the guy who forgets how to do stuff on the day of the big game :P

OK- Back to math :P Looks like Sonic burger is gettin closer !! we might be there this weekend :D
